Matt has been immersed in the equine world since the moment he was born and growing up in a family of riders and show jumpers he know’s exactly what a rider & horse requires for a happy partnership.

As a qualified saddle fitter with an SMS qualification, he offers a professional mobile saddle fitting service that brings expertise directly to you. Whether you need onsite adjustments or advice on purchasing a new saddle, Matt is here to help.

Matt collaborates with the top brands in the industry, stocking a great variety of both new & 2nd hand saddles.

  • As Matt is out and about at yards during the day, the best way to book is to message 07793371805 or to email mattcrippen@live.co.uk and he will get back to you as soon as he can.

    When messaging for an appointment please ensure you include the following details:

    • Name & location the fitting will take place

    • Appointment requirements

    • If you are looking to purchase a saddle then please include your rough budget & any saddles you wish to try.

    Matt will aim to respond within 48 hours but please be patient.

  • The SMS recommends saddles are checked at least twice a year to allow for seasonal changes which can affect the shape of your horse.

    For new saddles we suggest having these checked 3-4 months after purchase to allow the new flock to compress.

    If there are any changes with the horse or rider and you think that the saddle is no longer fitting correctly book in as soon as possible.

  • Matt is based in Buckinghamshire but also covers the following areas:

    • Buckinghamshire

    • Hertfordshire

    • Bedfordshire

    • Oxfordshire

    • Essex

    • Middlesex

    • London

    Please get in contact to see if your specific area is covered.

    Travel included within 40 miles of HP5. Additional travel charges may apply outside this areas.

  • SADDLE FITTING PRICES:

    Individual Appointments:

    Saddle consultation & fit assessment: £70

    Additional horses (Same owner, same visit) - £30 per horse

    Any flock or adjustments that are needed are charged separately

    Shared Yard Appointments: (Available when two or more owners are booked at the same yard on the same day)

    Saddle consultation & fit assessment: £55 per owner

    Additional horses (same owners) - £30 per horse (available when one owner has multiple horses booked during a shared yard appointment)

    Any flock or adjustments that are needed are charged separately

    Flocking & adjustments: £20 - £35

    Prices vary depending on the amount of flocking required.

    Appointments outside this areas may be subject to an additional travel charge.
